Re: Power supply

Hi Mark,

given a choice, would you do the DC mods, or try to build the replacement AC PSU that you descibed in the ZX forum?

regards

Re: Use with RS232 board connected?

I have tried with 2 different RS232 boards in two different MTX512s three different PSUs, with and without supplying additional 5VDC to the power pins on REMEMOrizer. All with the same symptoms, i.e., the MTX fails to start. It's seems pretty conclusive that REMEMOrizer will not work with an RS232 b...

Re: How to reach out to Memotech owners

Hi Mark! Merry Christmas - glad you found it. Things are a little quiet here, it gets a bit busier on the Facebook group...... http://www.facebook.com/groups/2443017753/ Although small, it is a growing group, you might want to join that too? If we get more participants, then maybe the forum will pic...

Memotech Hardwares till going today

Hi Folks, I am trying to gather data on what old Memotech MTX Series kit is still around (I'm not interested in add-ons for the ZX81 etc. which were Memotech's first venture into the world of personal computers). However, if you have any Memotech kit, including computers, disk units, printers, video...

Re: Reset / Coldboot keys

Hi Mike, Yes, although I have not done it, the keyboard comes apart by unbolting the steel backing plate. You should be able to check the keys with a meter, but I don't know how easy it's to actually replace one. Claus (the owner of this forum\website) has had a keyboard apart and could not see how ...

Re: Reset / Coldboot keys

Hi Mike, just saw this - I have not logged in here for a while. It's a bit quiet here unfortunately, the Facebook group seems a bit busier. Hopefully, things will pick up here in time. You've probably done it already, but have you tried swapping the keyboard just in case it's a duff key before we ge...

Re: MTX500 upgrades....

Hi, I think this thread is dead, but for the sake of completeness, here is my final update.... I can confirm that I did not damage the board during the upgrade attempt, although I may have had a tiny short between a couple of pins on the new IC sockets at one point. With the sockets installed, new 6...

Re: Memotech Software Archive

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, the Gamebase is great, I guess it needs quite a bit of effort to keep it current though. As you know, I'm trying to collate as much as I can on my Software page, including those scans and program manuals that you sent me, which got me to the question on how best to ser...
