Hi.
Anyone know if I can connect a 80crt board (inside a FDX box) to a normal (common) Videomonitor, using eg. composite video signal?
The board have a lot of pin outs which I think originally was cabled to a connector at the FDX box. And maybe to a CGA monitor or so ? I think I read somewhere it was possible to wire it to Connect to a composite monitor normally using a yellow RCA-connector.
RCA Connector:
My 80crt board is this:
The pin out is right side bottom.
Can I connect the 80crt board to a common Videomonitor?

Hi Claus,
My FDX boxes have a plug on the IDC connector on the 80 column board which splits out to a phono socket and a 9 way "D" connector on the FDX case. Does your FDX not have those connectors?
My FDXs are broken and in the loft at the moment, but I used to use the FDX with a mono monitor connected to the phono plug output. It was a standard 75 ohm input to a mono CCTV monitor and worked fine.
Regards
Dave
Ps, I think the pinout for the 80 column connector is in the FDX manual, I'll have a look later
OK - page from the Technical Manual attached, showing the J8 pinout
(The forum won't let me upload a PDF, so here's the pinout as a JPG)
